MarcJayofNR (00:00.111)
Yeah, I watch them taurus women too. They love to do it.
RA (00:03.318)
Like, I don't even know where the, cause I make mine with my drinks. I make them with the measuring cups. She eyeballs hers. I just had to eyeball this, but I'm like, where'd you move the measuring cups to? Like, why would they have to be moved?
MarcJayofNR (00:13.659)
Alright.
MarcJayofNR (00:24.539)
I don't know, it's like, I don't know, women, I feel like it's deeper than that where women feel like it's their territory, like in that aspect. It's like, well, whatever I say goes in the placement of things because I'm the organizer. I'm the one who, you know.
Structures the inside of the home, how it looks, the feng shui down to, you know what saying? I'm the one who's cleaning my, you know what I'm saying? All that ****. So it's like third territory where it's like, you're gonna go where I say this stuff is gonna go. You're not about to make the rules.
RA (01:00.667)
and then act annoyed when you be like, where is this at? I'd be like, it was here. So like, don't be annoyed at all. Like.
MarcJayofNR (01:08.911)
Does she ever like push your washer cup or put in the dishwasher when you're not even through with it yet?
RA (01:16.28)
She usually asks because I have a little side tape on my room and she'll see that I still got some stuff, but my mom does that. matter of fact, she did it last weekend. We was at my granny's birthday party. I still had like that much Henny left in my cup. I'm looking for it. And then I realized, I realized she's cleaning up. I was like, did you throw my cup away? I'm sorry, baby. Nah, where my Henny at?
MarcJayofNR (01:21.044)
okay.
MarcJayofNR (01:28.965)
Yeah.
MarcJayofNR (01:44.634)
Right, come on bro, phone me up.
RA (01:47.278)
Rummy my Henny, my Henny bottle running out and I'm be like, I could have had that little bit.
MarcJayofNR (01:52.57)
Right, I could have had that little bit. You still thinking about that little bit you missed? That's the athlete mind right there. You just ran for 150, but you'd be like, damn, I could have ran for 175. That's what got me ****** up.
RA (02:03.926)
Yup. Look at me ****** up. Think that's my best.
MarcJayofNR (02:08.492)
That's crazy. That's crazy. Well, thank you for coming back to the number one, the number two, and the number three fastest growing podcast in the Tri-State area, Kentucky Anna, Lou Villiana, you feel me? I am Mark J of NR, and NR is New Ran. And this is my man, the mic and the man himself.
RA (02:21.048)
God damn it.
RA (02:25.75)
God damn it.
RA (02:33.474)
Hurrah, the Machina Man.
MarcJayofNR (02:37.932)
So, drink to that.
RA (02:38.272)
Yeah. Drink today.
MarcJayofNR (02:47.293)
They're like, you starting off like it? He's wildin'. He's wildin'. So. Yeah, yeah, yeah, they ready for YN. I don't know when he's gonna come back, but he's definitely gonna come back. And then even before we start out, shout out to No Victory, Kalen
RA (02:49.836)
Yup, you already know. YN might make an appearance, ****.
Hehehehehe
MarcJayofNR (03:06.457)
Shout out to his squad, shout out to the hats they just dropped, shipped it to me, appreciate it. Louisville, Louisville, baby, nice little derby hat. You see the 502 with the rose, you feel me? You see the jockey silk with the logo on it. So shout out, gang, these mother******* is fire. You can still go get them. You can find them on Twitter, Instagram, at.
Kale Alexander, think the one on Twitter is two R's with an underscore behind it. But yeah, not hard to find. And go support local. That's what I love coming up here. You probably see my take care of home. He's a, and Forrest, and you know, they in business together too. shout out to Gang.
RA (03:59.212)
I should have, I should have got me one when, when you got you one. Cause at first Maya's party colors, we were going to wear black and gold. So I actually got a official Derby hat, like the Derby 151. Cause it's black and gold, but I think we're going to rock some red extended stuff with our stuff. So I got this hat just so it come quickly. Cause I just, I didn't know. And it was very cheap.
MarcJayofNR (04:09.849)
Right.
MarcJayofNR (04:16.31)
Right.
RA (04:28.76)
It's just like this red hat with the horse on it. And I was able to put like my own words on it. But if I would have known from the beginning that this is what we was going to wear, I would have got that for sure.
MarcJayofNR (04:42.573)
Yes, Yeah, my slide. Yes. Yes, support the local creative support the local craze. Alright, she is what you want to do what you want to hop into this early was was just on your mind, bro. It's just what's just what you've been thinking about what popped up you just like man, it's just crazy.
RA (04:42.656)
Might still give me one ****, just to have it, for sure.
RA (04:55.873)
Mayn.
RA (05:03.948)
I guess we'll start with the more serious **** and then work our way all the way down to less serious **** and sports and then eventually that should roll into top five list.
MarcJayofNR (05:19.938)
Sounds good. Get it cracking.
RA (05:23.106)
All right. First thing I got. Have you ever heard of a country called Burkina Faso in Africa?
MarcJayofNR (05:34.45)
No.
RA (05:35.086)
I never heard of it until I seen this. I didn't know it was a country. I was like, what is this a territory or something, but it's a country. Anyways, the president, Ibrahim Traore, I might've said that wrong, but.
MarcJayofNR (05:41.344)
Right,
MarcJayofNR (05:49.069)
It's either treyor or treyore, either one.
RA (05:52.332)
You already know exactly. So Ibrahim, president of Burkina Faso, he wiped out all school fees for students from primary school all the way up to college to focus on youth development and making sure that it's not a barrier. Like money isn't a barrier to get your education in his country. So.
I don't know, I thought that was amazing. Like imagine just school completely being free. Like, you're your students. 13 million, so it's not super small. Yeah, yeah, that 13 million.
MarcJayofNR (06:28.417)
Very small country, I'm guessing.
Oh ****, that ain't no small country. That ain't small *****. ***** what? Okay, that's what's up. That's what's up. I think a lot of third world countries should take this kind of action that need that surplus of middle class is kind of like, you know, artificially creating a middle class. The only thing you worry about in the future is as you push people towards that direction is unless we are creating, you know, a first world country.
still gonna need a even if we do we still gonna need a a finite amount of the infrastructure jobs and you know just a blue collar jobs and stuff like that so as smart that's cool it seems productive i hope it goes well that's crazy that's what's up
RA (07:21.56)
Yeah, so they're heavily investing in their future. I just feel like capitalism wouldn't allow mother******* to do that here. They'd be like, well, what about the money? It's like there are things bigger than that, obviously.
MarcJayofNR (07:26.39)
That's what's up.
MarcJayofNR (07:34.303)
Yeah. Yeah, the money. capitalism a lot of times seems like shortchanging a person to the long term solutions that that, you know, we have to invest a little now, but it'll pay off in the back end. And then my focus is like, well, I might be dead by then. What are you *******? I'm saying just this is my own selfish. If I knew I could if I knew I could do like something that could that could really enhance
RA (07:59.49)
Go.
MarcJayofNR (08:03.927)
Because America is already great, so we don't really need to do anything that really needs to enhance. But if I lived in a place, a third world place, where I'm like, what's something that I could really enhance my kid's future and that could really change? Where we don't got to do this and work so hard and this and that, could be so much closer to like America. I wouldn't invest in that. I wouldn't invest in that.
So like you said, but in America, capitalism, current structure, us always being number one, we really not number one, but I'll call us the top 25. You know what saying? We slide back and forth. So we stay ranked, but that's about it for real. About it.
RA (08:42.574)
so back to what we talked about maybe last week or the week before China's teaching their kids AI to enhance their future, like starting at primary school. You got countries in Africa that are erasing school fees completely.
MarcJayofNR (09:03.232)
correct
RA (09:04.617)
Meanwhile here, they're about to start garnishing people's check that have student loan debt.
MarcJayofNR (09:13.943)
Capitalism, short term fixes, putting band-aids on things instead of doing surgery. Because surgery costs too much, it'll take too long. I don't wanna do surgery. I just want a band-aid on it. Just give me some pain pills, make me feel good, but don't really work on that ****. It's not gonna work. It's like, you can't nickel, that's nickel and diamond us for real. Remember when we were laughing and we were like the government's sitting back somewhere like, defund who?
Defund who? Yeah, that's some **** like that.
RA (09:44.362)
No, real, yeah.
RA (09:49.549)
It's ****** up.
MarcJayofNR (09:50.838)
while they cut our social services at the same time. Isn't that crazy? Why you going? You know what I'm saying? What do you need money for? If you're cutting so many social services, let's see what that budget allocation looks like. Crazy.
RA (09:55.509)
Exactly.
RA (10:07.47)
It's all ****** up. It's like, so obviously people that still owe can't afford to pay it. Otherwise it would probably be paid off because they can't get a job even worth their ******* degree that they got. So like, it's just a cycle. It's like, so you went, you took all this money out to get this degree.
MarcJayofNR (10:30.165)
Correct.
RA (10:34.774)
You can't even get a job that will allow you to pay that money back. And now they're going to be like, well, that money, whatever we got is job. Now we, I'm just saying in the grand scheme of things, whatever job that you got that you can't afford to pay this back, we're going to start taking it out of that too. So good luck.
MarcJayofNR (10:52.873)
Yeah, it ultimately.
widens classism in a way, I guess. And then...
RA (11:03.052)
You got it or you don't.
MarcJayofNR (11:04.309)
Me and my dad talked about this. all the policy differences, all the politics maybe. And just think about the, we were talking about the distinct differences between someone like Obama, who we may identify with more, and compared to someone like Trump, and how they handle negotiations or business. So Obama's more soft power.
I'm gonna come in, what can I do for you? You do for me, blah, blah, blah. If you go against me now, I'm taking that stuff away from you. And now you ain't got no friends, you know what I'm saying? So it's just best to do what I say. That's soft power. Trump's more like coming in, trying to bully people and stuff like that. Now as a black man's perspective, when you come in and you do some of those things, what you're willing to do when you're like really playing poker and you're like, ****, I'm really willing to go. I'm really, you're willing, those marginal.
those marginal things, those marginal people, those marginal situations, they become things that you can gamble with. You know what I'm saying? Obama's not gambling with people's student loans because at the end of the day, I was, like say I was Obama, I still gotta go back to the hood when I'm done with this presidency ****. My people's are still in the hood. So at the end of the day, I'm not gonna sell out for situations that are going to hurt my people. And then I gotta go back to them places?
And that's maybe the white-black complex of the political landscape when it comes to, you know, when we talk about certain people on certain sides being sellouts and why they're not and all that whole thing is because those situations where it's like Obama's not gonna do that, but Trump will for the betterment of whatever situation it's like, you can't find anything else to.
put on the table to gamble, you gotta play with these chips specifically, the marginal chips. You know what I'm saying? And that's just my perspective on it. All politics aside, whatever, it's more of a perspective. And I'm like, and maybe even a little deeper, it's more of a white man can gamble a little bit more and do a little bit more than a black person. Because a black person's not, their perspective isn't that of someone who has it. So they're not just gonna gamble with it like at like, working your way up just to get that.
MarcJayofNR (13:26.227)
And then like, I'm not about to gamble this. Why? Why people was like, I was born on this base. Of course I'm gonna gamble with this as far as I'm gonna fall. And that's just a perspective. You know what I'm saying? Has nothing to do with race, simple perspective between what might be me and my white friends going into a simple game of poker or a certain situation with our lives. So that's just part of it.
RA (13:51.735)
Yup.
MarcJayofNR (13:53.928)
This is
RA (13:54.508)
Yep.
And I just thought that was interesting. That was very cool due to erasing fees. I mean, imagine waking up and being like, it's all free.
MarcJayofNR (14:01.522)
Yeah.
MarcJayofNR (14:08.049)
And you're like, ****, we all gone. What are you talking about? And you know ****** don't love, ain't nothing they love more than something free *****. They'll do it just cause it's free.
RA (14:12.184)
yeah.
RA (14:17.31)
I swear to God, just because it's free, I'm in here. Like, I know everybody's in it, mother******.
MarcJayofNR (14:22.484)
And I know I say ******, but even Americans too. You feel me? Americans. Yeah. Yeah. It's just free. I'm in Costco. I'm in Sam's. I don't even know what this is. I don't know. Okay. I'm going to try. Try it. Exactly. So that's what's up. That's what's up. What else you got?
RA (14:25.364)
Exactly, yeah.
RA (14:32.18)
It's free *****. I'ma try it. I'ma ******* try it.
All right. So speaking of things that the U.S. doing for its citizens. So this is a good thing. I feel like it's late, but it's happening. So, you know, I've got to give credit where credit's due a little bit. So the U.S. Food and Drug Administration plans to phase out
all petroleum-based synthetic diets in the US by the end of 26, I think, by the end of next year. So I thought that's pretty... I got a quote from the commissioner, Dr. Marty McCary. He said, for the last 50 years, American children have increasingly been living in a toxic soup of synthetic chemicals. Now there's no one ingredient.
MarcJayofNR (15:14.963)
and our color based dyes basically.
Yeah, that's beautiful.
RA (15:40.77)
that accounts for the child chronic disease epidemic. And let's be honest, taking petroleum based food dyes out of food supply is not a silver bullet that will instantly make American children healthy, but it is one important step, which I agree. I agree with them all, but it's like, *****, this is what I was talking about when it a little late, it took you 50 years to realize that, but whatever, you know, okay.
MarcJayofNR (15:55.175)
Yeah.
MarcJayofNR (16:04.986)
No, to reg- to regulate it.
Which is scary, right? if it took you 50 years to regulate that, how long is it going to take you to regulate AI?
RA (16:19.79)
Oof.
MarcJayofNR (16:20.115)
And that's just like that where it's like, government's too slow, Elon Musk was saying this before he was part of the government. So we'll see what this ***** do. But no, that's good. I know like a lot of European countries, you know, they already have that out. That's good. And then I wonder sometimes about like, our capacity with like certain things like that, where it's like,
RA (16:36.706)
I already did it.
MarcJayofNR (16:49.701)
Okay, food dies, yes. But maybe we should worry about drinking water because we drink water. So that should be, maybe that we should always worry about that first and then let's break off into the greater things that people eat the most. You know what I'm saying? and I'm not, it's a twofold kind of thing. You know what I'm saying? So.
RA (17:11.532)
No, I agree, I hear you. I think that would be the best way to, because there's so much at this point, that'd be the best way to phase it out is from most important to least important. mean, that's just simple human ****. So.
MarcJayofNR (17:23.706)
Yeah. Yeah. So personally, I'm like, ****, I'm just more worried about MSD, honestly, locally. Like I should always be like, I should worry about MSD, local, you know, how's our water systems? How's our water doing here? How's our infrastructure? You know, just locally. I would worry about that more than just that honestly where I'm like, ****. And that may be just B because I'm like, ****.
RA (17:44.845)
Yeah.
MarcJayofNR (17:52.431)
I'll make the purees. I'll make a gummy for the kids instead of doing that, like, for real. And not everyone has that opportunity, though, so... Yep.
RA (18:04.312)
But yeah, that will take away our phase out. Red.40, yellow.5, yellow.6, blue.1, blue.2, and green.3. That red.40, boy, that's about to take all of *****'s favorites out. Especially her and Louisville *****, that's Big Red, that's Hot Cheetos, that's like, that's it, *****.
MarcJayofNR (18:17.071)
and he dies left.
No, that's the one. That's the one.
Ninjas it Ninjas it *****. That's it. That's the death. That's death dust and they got the devil's death. So people be calling me I'm like when that **** on the chips this **** they be like, that's the worst **** for you. I'm like, that's what got me eating kettle chips. Let me just go with some, let me just go with someone with some crunch man or something like that. And I still love me a great. Oh my God. A great bag of grippos, great bag of hot fries.
RA (18:33.354)
I mean...
RA (18:38.306)
Yo. That **** fire.
RA (18:47.232)
Yeah, that's a good substitute.
MarcJayofNR (18:53.947)
I'm not really a Hot Cheetos person anymore, because I ate so many as a kid. I ate so many bags. But Andes, I still mess with Andes. I still mess with Andes specifically.
RA (19:02.263)
Yes.
Yes, Andy's is a problem, god damn it.
MarcJayofNR (19:07.474)
This is a problem. So... Pop.
RA (19:10.974)
All right, you wanna keep it moving?
MarcJayofNR (19:15.419)
Keep it moving. Let's keep it moving.
RA (19:17.166)
All right. So there's a Robocop. In mf Thailand, they can. They they've created a cyborg police officer. The cyborg is capable of having access to nearby CCT- TV cameras, drones and its own 360 degree AI cameras equipped with facial recognition.
MarcJayofNR (19:28.217)
Okay.
RA (19:46.894)
behavioral analysis, weapon detection, and blacklist alerts. An official says video analytics are advanced enough to differentiate between water guns from real weapons and identify violent behavior. It's robocop
MarcJayofNR (20:07.118)
That's pretty good. I wonder how slow he is. Like, I wonder like what his temperament is. Cause in America you bring him over we gonna **** with that *****. We gonna **** with that ***** dog. Really.
RA (20:15.424)
I know you've seen that video.
RA (20:22.862)
But listen, I know you've seen that video, the mf AI bot in China that was, they ran up on it. We're gonna have to show it in the ******* edit if we put this part out. The ***** ran up on like, there was like a divider between the people and like, there were some officials walking with the AI bot and that ***** got up on the rail and it was like,
MarcJayofNR (20:33.872)
No, no, no, no.
RA (20:51.436)
Like, I don't know, bro. Ninjas is like, ****.
MarcJayofNR (20:54.873)
No, no, no, I'm looking at it.
RA (20:57.066)
It was like the first YN bot.
You
MarcJayofNR (21:05.742)
A YN bot that's crazy work.
RA (21:05.934)
You
MarcJayofNR (21:10.768)
****! What is it doing? What is it doing, dawg?
RA (21:12.43)
I don't know bro. Like what would have have done if nobody was around to stop it?
MarcJayofNR (21:20.367)
Why did somebody pull it back like it was really a ***** though? know what that's like, come on. That's crazy. That's crazy. Hey, don't run up on me like that. I promise. Are you serious?
RA (21:24.767)
That's what I'm saying bro.
RA (21:31.96)
That's what I'm saying, he was wilding. No, for real. I'll pull your ******* plug, *****. You're ******* with me. Quit ******* with me.
MarcJayofNR (21:40.879)
you
MarcJayofNR (21:45.968)
****, that's crazy. Yeah, I would have stole him though. He can't run up on me like in the barricades right there too like and it would have been like I wouldn't have done it on purpose. That's what people don't understand. Like if you run up on me and you bob your head like that at me like that, like I'm thinking what are you about to do? You about to headbutt me? I'm gonna take a step back simultaneously as I take a step back. I'm a pop you it's all gonna be one motion. So it's like
RA (22:06.018)
That's what I'm saying.
RA (22:14.606)
It's just a natural reaction.
MarcJayofNR (22:18.394)
So yeah, that doesn't seem good in America. Like don't bring that **** to the hood. Like ****** is gonna be boxing, are, he's gonna be getting knocked out and ****. ****'s gonna be crazy. That ****'s gonna be crazy, dog. And then eventually be, ****** gonna want they own robots and they gonna be fighting their robots against each other. It's just gonna be, it's gonna be wild. It's gonna be wild. It's gonna be, it's gonna be.
RA (22:37.046)
You already know, it's coming. It'll be the new dog fighting.
MarcJayofNR (22:46.576)
Pokemon, Digimon, is how it's about to start right here.
RA (22:53.088)
And don't let it get in the hands of a smart *****.
MarcJayofNR (22:58.244)
Bro, my, he's gonna tear them ****** up, dawg. And then the most gangsta ****** in the hood is gonna be coders. And they gonna be the like, you can't even **** with my mans. Like, you can't even **** with him. Right? Right. that's crazy. That's a crazy script, we gotta get on that. That's a crazy script, I like it.
RA (23:06.05)
Yep, like straight up.
RA (23:12.022)
Like, you can't **** with him, he got an army *****.
RA (23:24.588)
I got the picture too. I'll put it on the post edit. Like they had the ***** dressed in the Thailand royalty police force gear or whatever they're called.
MarcJayofNR (23:37.743)
Yeah.
RA (23:39.5)
So I keep it moving. So this, don't want to fully go into wrestling. This is just some dude that is involved with wrestling. There's this quote and I want to read it and then you can just.
MarcJayofNR (23:53.12)
We can lead in the wrestling. We can lead it in the wrestling.
RA (23:56.524)
Okay, well, we'll start with this though. I'm gonna read everything this whole post and then you can tell me how you feel about it if you got anything. All right, Nathan Jones posted on I'm guessing Twitter or Facebook. Anyways, when I was in WWE, I saw something that stuck with me, not in the ring, but backstage. There'd be a wrestler that they were trying to put over.
someone the crowd just wasn't vibing with. You'd hear boos from the audience or worse dead silence, no reaction. That's the death in wrestling. So what did WWE do? They'd pump in crowd noise, literal cheers through the arena speaker, sometimes even piped in chants like Rocky, Rocky. For someone the crowd clearly didn't care for and then I'd watch from the monitors backstage as the real audience started to fall in line.
Like the fake reaction gave them permission to cheer and they did. That's when it hit me. Most people don't think with their own mind. They follow the noise. And now I see the same trick everywhere in politics, on the news, on social media. They play the cheer track in the crowd claps like trained seals, manufacture consensus, emotional manipulation wrapped in spectacle. It worked in wrestling.
MarcJayofNR (24:57.101)
Okay.
RA (25:23.936)
It works even better in real life.
MarcJayofNR (25:27.511)
Correct.
RA (25:29.994)
I just thought that was very interesting. You remember I had my little spat about wrestling, reflecting life, life reflecting wrestling and all that. Like here's another example, stuff like that.
MarcJayofNR (25:42.419)
Okay, I completely agree with you.
It's easy to, I mean ****, they tried to say that there was certain music that made people do, you know, satanic **** back in the day. They said NWA and them were dangerous. You know what saying? They've always said that sound has a certain way on the mind. And then they use it themselves.
That sounds about right to me.
MarcJayofNR (26:17.997)
I don't know. I don't go to a lot of events. So I feel like that's not like a big thing for me where I'm like, where I care either way personally. And I feel like a lot of people don't go to the events. lot of this money is made on TV contracts. So I don't know how much it affects the masses. Know what I'm saying? Does the crowd ever affect your opinion of something going on on TV?
RA (26:45.332)
not really except arguing with ww and aw fans back and forth but other than that that's a small niche but
MarcJayofNR (26:46.188)
That's what I about to say.
MarcJayofNR (26:50.758)
Right. But like, because the crowd's booing or whatever, I mean, you know, yeah, I don't, and then like, if I hear the crowd booing like a president or chairing, I don't really care. I don't care about none of that stuff for real. I'm not gonna lie to you. I care about what's really going on. And I think most people do too.
But that's just me. That's why I'm like, I don't think it's that big of a deal, but I think it's very true. And I just think it's something that you gotta be aware of.
So.
RA (27:25.582)
Yeah. And I really more so connected with it on the part talking about it works in wrestling and works in real life and just talking about how the news can all 20 of the stations can spout the same ****. And once they once they spout it long enough, well, we get the same, you know.
MarcJayofNR (27:40.588)
yeah, yeah, I like that. I like what you're saying with that. That's what I like. See, because yeah, because the way I was looking at it from like the literal perspective, but what you're talking about is the system in which it's used and then using it even a unification of a mass system and then using that on the human psyche. Yeah, I like that. I like that. That's a good analysis. That's true. That's very true. That's when it's most dangerous.
That's when it's most dangerous.
RA (28:11.564)
You know, and it's just crazy. And that's what I mean. Like I said, back to rest and reflecting real life, real life, reflecting, resting, however, whichever way you look at it, like.
MarcJayofNR (28:18.677)
you
Could be the testing field of some ****, you know what I'm saying? This is the testing grounds.
RA (28:24.66)
Exactly. Straight up.
MarcJayofNR (28:29.024)
Was I gonna say even you on that on the same wavelength I have one because you know people **** on wrestling or this or that this fakeness well Triple H made an appearance on something. Sorry if I don't get this right, but Talked about Floyd Mayweather playing the heel in his appearance on WWE against the Big Show if I'm not mistaken
and talking about how that experience taught him how to play the heel. Not only that, it led into the creation of Money May, Money Mayweather, that persona. So you know when, you know, he was the golden boy when he was young, he was the golden boy. Then he turned into Money May and now he's a dick and now he's a diss and now he's that and now he's flashy and now he just says whatever, he's pretentious and he's it. You know what I'm saying? It totally changed, but.
RA (29:10.262)
Hmm.
MarcJayofNR (29:25.993)
that made him more money and made him more popular. The golden boy could only go so far. So he literally used the same techniques that we just watched Cody John Cena employ. John Cena employed his whole career and then used that to revitalize a second half of his career.
RA (29:35.938)
John Cena.
MarcJayofNR (29:45.356)
So is that not life imitating art, art imitating life, wrestling imitating reality, reality imitating wrestling once again. So I know people, know.
RA (29:45.814)
Yup.
MarcJayofNR (29:58.315)
It's just haters, it's just really haters, because that's the only people I'm talking to. A lot of people don't care, and then the people who do care, you're not gonna change their opinion because obviously they still in it. Ain't **** gonna change their opinion. A meteor is gonna come down tomorrow, we ain't gonna change no wrestler's opinion about wrestling. Stop it. They some of the, that's some of the realest fans.
RA (29:58.85)
People.
RA (30:16.844)
Yep, no for real. And then people go hill every day like in real life, know, that hurt, know, relationship or job or whatever happens and that just, yeah, that...
MarcJayofNR (30:24.154)
yeah!
MarcJayofNR (30:31.445)
Spider-Man 3 to get the storyline going, Batman, Superman when he got taken over and he was wild. That's the arc of almost everyone's greatest, I mean, it's the tagline.
RA (30:37.388)
You like, nah, **** that.
MarcJayofNR (30:49.556)
Long enough to be here? Yeah, love long, whatever it is. We'll just post it in the post-editor and show how we just can't bring it up, but we know what we're talking about. We're dumb to bring it
RA (30:50.191)
live long enough. Yeah.
RA (31:00.27)
You already know, but yeah, like it's real
MarcJayofNR (31:03.819)
So yeah, that's that's what's up. All right, do you want to actually get into wrestling? And if so, what was your boy Heyman on man?
RA (31:19.18)
He was on there wiling. He was on there wiling.
MarcJayofNR (31:22.731)
Absolutely, dog. He was on some drugs, bro. I'm just gonna keep it a buck. He was high and he was drunk and he was on ESPN. And that's scary.
RA (31:32.472)
He... He...
RA (31:39.31)
Sometimes they take that persona and in certain situations they turn it up even more. They go so hard into the character they're playing that it can sometimes be mistaken. Cause I bet you talk to people that are cool with Hayman and really know him, be like, he's the nicest guy in the world. Give you the shirt off his back, all that. You know what I mean? But on there, you can tell if you just take that context, can be like, he's a *******.
So who the **** is this bald mother****** trying to talk ****?
MarcJayofNR (32:13.066)
Not really even an ***hole as much as why would you put Pat in those kind of situations with management? That's too far. It's way too far. I don't know what his deal is and I don't know if they care that he smokes, but he's a Disney partner. He can't just be on there talking about you smoking in the back and sheaf and shitting on Shannon Sharp who's a colleague. It's just too many things that's.
RA (32:15.214)
Thank
MarcJayofNR (32:39.494)
If it was just one and he was just wild and it's cool, but like it's too many things that can get McAfee in trouble and ****. And then part of it is he almost confirmed the race war that kind of low key is going on between Pat and the other side and ****. You feel me? So it's just like, I'm just like, man, this is, this is, that's a lot. You know what I'm saying? Like that's a lot.
RA (32:59.405)
Thanks.
See, I feel like he might be a little drunk with wrestling fame and popularity right now, because he's hot. He's been in the hottest angles for the last five years. And like, he's the creator of ECW, so he already had that edge to him. And then the fact that he's still around all these years later, he can probably talk like that around his wrestling world that he's usually in.
MarcJayofNR (33:10.78)
That's what I've seen a lot of people say.
RA (33:30.254)
and it comes in the real world and it's like, bro, I'll beat your *** bro. Like, ain't, you know what I mean? This ain't wrestling. Like, some of y'all can really fight. You can't, *****.
MarcJayofNR (33:42.707)
So it's that one dude who hangs with the popular kids and thinks he's, yeah, yeah, da da da. And it's like, hold on a bro. I know you wrong with them and ****, but you ain't them. I'll **** you up in a quick second, bro. Calm down.
RA (33:56.588)
Yes, basically. And there'll be wrestling fans that'll, you just don't get it. it's a *****, no, know, ain't nobody talking to me like that. If I ain't, you give me a check for this? Are we in character? All right. We in character and I'm getting paid. I'll let it go to a certain extent, but even then it's going to be like, all right now, you about to get popped in your mouth.
MarcJayofNR (33:57.149)
Yeah.
MarcJayofNR (34:18.459)
Right. Right.
RA (34:22.168)
So he was underwilding though, I watched it. He was wilding.
MarcJayofNR (34:25.073)
Yeah, he was wild. So yeah, what'd you think of the whole WrestleMania weekend? I was iffy on Saturday, honestly, but Sunday I have thoughts on. So what'd you think about it and all?
RA (34:42.05)
Well, I ain't even gonna sugarcoat it. isn't a everybody that knows me knows I love AEW. And if a wrestling fan, let's say we put this out and some wrestling fan gets a hold of this, I'm not saying it to **** on WWE. That **** was weak. Overall, there were good moments, good spots. But overall, that's-
That's their top of the line. It's supposed to be top of the line work. That's their super bowl. Like it was just a let down how night one, like you said, Saturday, they didn't have that triple threat at the end. It would have been like, what the **** was that? That triple threat at the end saved them because everybody kind of forgot it was such a good main event. So then it rose over in the Sunday. You know, you got your hopes up again. You're like, all right.
MarcJayofNR (35:33.693)
Right.
RA (35:38.55)
And then it just keeps going and there's like, bro, this ain't WrestleMania. This is just a show with that slapped on it. And then the main event happens, you know, they're, they're putting on a solid match and then it ends like that with Travis Scott and not the actual rock to help John Cena. And then how it ended like Cody getting low blow and him not being able to pull the trigger on hitting John Cena with a title.
And just, I'm gonna let you do yours. Cause I, there's more to it, bro. There's more to it that I'm gonna try to get to a little bit. I didn't, but I watched the highlights. I know what happened.
MarcJayofNR (36:15.964)
Did you watch Raw Monday? You watch Raw? Me either. Okay, okay, okay. I didn't get to watch the highlights. That's the only thing I didn't get to catch. So you'll have to film me in on that.
RA (36:26.606)
A lot of people were saying that was better than Mania, because that's when Cena got RKO'd by Randy Orton.
MarcJayofNR (36:32.006)
That's what I heard. what I heard. heard it was. Yep, which Randy, which was what we kind of low key thought was going to happen.
RA (36:42.412)
like that's their views about the startup.
MarcJayofNR (36:43.922)
So now it's gonna be them two, yeah.
RA (36:47.202)
Then out of that triple threat, Brian Breaker joined Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman and he beat up CM Punk and Roman. So now it is Seth Rollins, Brian Breaker, who's the nephew of Scott Steiner. Yeah, son of Rick Steiner. And then Paul Heyman. And I think there's gonna be one more added to it. Not sure who yet, but.
MarcJayofNR (37:00.912)
Right. Of the Steiner brothers.
Right. Of the Stoner.
MarcJayofNR (37:13.223)
Right.
RA (37:15.704)
So yeah, it was a little more exciting than WrestleMania itself was.
MarcJayofNR (37:20.572)
then it's gonna be somebody like...
MarcJayofNR (37:26.568)
Like who did Gunther, like KO or Gunther, somebody like that.
RA (37:33.794)
Well, KO's hurt for real for us why he wasn't on WrestleMania. I think I keep seeing Austin Theory throwing around.
MarcJayofNR (37:35.874)
MarcJayofNR (37:43.707)
Okay.
RA (37:45.038)
So possibly him, will work well for him because he needs something like that. I've seen Montez Ford's name thrown around. I've seen Carmelo Hayes, he calls himself him. He'd be like, I'm him. I think Hayman says something about we need him or something. And I don't know. So people be piecing **** together.
MarcJayofNR (37:53.027)
Okay, I would be, maybe somebody.
Yeah, yeah.
MarcJayofNR (38:08.209)
So it might be. Right, right.
RA (38:10.956)
That's a few names that could possibly be it, but at end of the day, don't know, honestly.
MarcJayofNR (38:16.263)
True.
What was it gonna say? Saturday. I agree with everything you said. They said, you know.
MarcJayofNR (38:32.712)
That wasn't it. That's not what we grew up on. That's not what y'all made y'all's money off of. That's not it. If I had to take a best match, Rhea Ripley, Bianca and EO, would, I mean, hands down, right? I mean, they did some ridiculous ****. They were exciting the whole time. When you talk about best match.
some really incredible **** when EO was just flying around that mother******. Trying to think. Bianca, when her and Rio like ran at each other and basically did like a spinning like helicopter and slammed Ria's face into the ******* mat. And then when she took her ******* hair and whipped her.
I'm like, I don't know why, like that is the perfect caricature of like a black woman superhero, heroine or whatever. Like that would be perfect. Like she has this long *** braid and like, before you even get close to her, she's whipping you with that mother******. You feel me? Like I was just, I love like.
how everything she does gives off the aesthetic of who she is. She does good at that. She's really good. And E.O., she's funny to me. She's like a little caricature. And I don't mean to like do like Japanese people that way, but it's more so like the culture of like the anime culture and stuff like that. She's like very like, like over dramatic and emotional, but in a very bubbly way.
RA (40:02.881)
It's good.
RA (40:15.127)
Yeah
MarcJayofNR (40:25.241)
You know what saying? So like, yeah, she's.
RA (40:27.83)
And she has to do that. She can speak English, but a lot of them don't speak what we would call perfect English to where, you you might be a little uncomfortable. mean, imagine you in Japan or China trying to speak their language. And it's like, I know it, but like that's...
MarcJayofNR (40:31.134)
yeah, I know.
MarcJayofNR (40:36.879)
Yeah, I'm broken.
MarcJayofNR (40:44.105)
yeah, trying to, I'm like, I'm not doing that. I'm not doing it after I just wrestled or in the middle of something and you know what saying? Like that's a lot.
RA (40:52.362)
you got to be real facial and you know what mean? Just show your stuff through your body language and all that. Like, and it's not like you can hear them talking a lot during the match, but you know what mean? So you start to develop that instead. Yeah, a few matches I thought were good. LA Knight versus Jacob Fatu. Fatu got a US championship, so that was cool.
MarcJayofNR (40:55.428)
Nah.
MarcJayofNR (41:08.464)
Yeah.
RA (41:21.782)
The triple threat was seeing punk Roman and Seth was pretty cool. The triple threat that you just brought up was good. And then like I said, the main event fell flat because of how it ended. And this is the biggest heel turn in WWE history. Cause Hogan was WCW. He came back to WWE as the Hollywood Hawk Hogan, but as far as WWE heel or face turn,
MarcJayofNR (41:26.214)
MarcJayofNR (41:46.895)
Right.
RA (41:51.202)
This is their biggest one ever. I mean, literally everyone has been waiting for John Cena. Usually characters do it **** 10 times, at least in their career, if they have a nice long career, like switching back and forth. This man has been, he started as a heel, but he wasn't that big. Then he began with John Cena we know, and he never switched. So.
MarcJayofNR (42:03.876)
Bye.
MarcJayofNR (42:09.4)
Yeah, right.
MarcJayofNR (42:13.637)
It didn't even feel like a heel at first. It felt more like, I don't know. I don't know how it felt. It felt, I don't know how to explain it. Yeah, yeah, just a modern gimmick more so. It didn't feel like a heel though. More like a modern gimmick.
RA (42:19.201)
It was just...
It was his starting gimmick. That's how he got off the ground with it.
RA (42:30.252)
Yeah, anyways to get...
MarcJayofNR (42:32.485)
I looked at my weather.
RA (42:37.838)
Let's see, hold on. All right. What's up, Ashlyn? It's going well, going well.
MarcJayofNR (42:39.439)
Hello.
I'm Nick Ellen.
Okay, left? Cool. Might hear some thunder rumbling. This storm's rolling in. Should be too bad though.
RA (42:58.574)
Ain't nothing like being at home with a good thunderstorm. I don't know why I love that. Maybe it's the May baby in me.
MarcJayofNR (43:03.211)
Me too, I've found a lot of solace in it.
RA (43:06.894)
Yeah, I don't know. It's just like, especially when you got the people you love most with you and you're just like, I don't know. I don't know. It's just.
MarcJayofNR (43:12.067)
Yeah, stuff like that, yeah. It has to be something to that, like human evolutionary. Like, you know what saying? Like, some protective in us, so just like, yeah. When ****'s going down outside to be collectively inside with the people you **** with most. Yeah, I'm mine.
RA (43:33.022)
why the hell did Antonio McKinney just message me on Facebook, off a mother******* inside joke from middle school, bro. And somehow I instantly remembered it. Like he said tree 50 and that's what from South Park, bro.
MarcJayofNR (43:48.909)
It's alright.
What did he say?
my god. Yes, bro. Y'all used to say that all the time, dawg.
RA (44:00.839)
Like, I don't know, he's hilarious. But anyways, I'm going to...
MarcJayofNR (44:03.812)
Speaking of that, random people. who is it? Cassie gets engaged.
RA (44:11.298)
Yep.
MarcJayofNR (44:13.686)
Francis Dumsdorf gets married at his crib, because half his crib's a ******* church. So they decorated. It's right there on 6th right there at Central Park, 6th and Oak or something. What else? else? Zeb. Johanzeb Kajkows. My ***** Zeb got...
RA (44:23.33)
I think I remember that, yeah. I think I remember that.
RA (44:32.174)
Test out.
MarcJayofNR (44:43.876)
He got married, I told him, I told him congratulations. And I feel like somebody else got married. I'm missing somebody from my peoples. I think Caroline Thomas got married not too long ago. It was like a... Yeah, it feels like that group that like decided to really go hard on their education and do their thing and their job and get that. Now they're all getting married and they're all about to start their families. Which is cool, that's cool man.
RA (45:00.174)
Goddamn, everybody.
RA (45:10.677)
Exactly.
MarcJayofNR (45:14.402)
So shut out the whole room.
RA (45:15.086)
Today's Nick's birthday too.
MarcJayofNR (45:17.879)
Shout out to Nick Pope, shout out to him. John Sizemore, shout out to him. It's his birthday yesterday. Who else's birthday is, man? That's a bunch, man. That's a bunch. My grandmama's birthday is this Saturday. Shout out to Charlene. She's about to be a beautiful like 78. Nuh-uh. That's crazy.
RA (45:32.844)
Mine was last Friday.
RA (45:37.902)
Yeah, that's the little part of it is that...
MarcJayofNR (45:40.003)
Okay, okay, okay, shut up the Grammys. Shut up the Grammys. ****, and like we already talked about birthdays. So we need to pop that, we need to put that on the pod. Like all the birthdays that are coming up, that'd be a good one. So, all right, so yeah. That was basically kind of on the rush one though.
RA (45:53.772)
Yep. Straight up.
RA (46:01.878)
I got one more little point to make.
MarcJayofNR (46:05.523)
No, you good. I was just gonna say that you just gotta do better on WrestleMania, y'all. Just gotta do better. SummerSlam has to be a hit. It has to. That crowd, that crowd deserve way more. That crowd was ******* electric. There's no reason you should have gave them that ****. Shout out to the great, like you said, those are a few good matches though. Yeah, you heard that.
RA (46:28.91)
It's standing over here, yo.
MarcJayofNR (46:31.821)
There's a few good matches though, so shout out to, like you said, CM, Seth, the women. Shout out to that. Gotta do better. Gotta do better. But get to your point.
RA (46:45.539)
So.
behind the scenes. This is more speculation, but people are putting two and two together more so, but it's some, it's some cracks starting to show.
There's a power struggle going on between The Rock and Triple H.
MarcJayofNR (47:08.235)
yeah, I felt like I saw that coming when this ***** popped up and took Cena under his wing like he was Vin Diesel and Fast and Furious. You tried to hijack this? You I don't know, that's just my whole, and then you already know the way that the whole WWE verse even feels about The Rock anyways, about his ego that comes with his stardom, you feel me? Like real ego.
And like, you've seen that translate outside to Hollywood. I, what do you, I feel like I ain't gonna lie to you. A little bit of me felt like when he was in that ring with Cena the first time and turning heel and ****, that's not, that's the real Rock. Like his ego is like that. You feel me? Like, nah, bitch, like, like I'm a great, I'm her, I'm basically a chairman of this mother******. And if I'm a chairman of this mother****** and he's the owner of ****, I might kick him to the side and become the owner myself, *****. ****, ****.
Hostile takeover happens in business all the time. You feel me? It feels like. But what if it ends up being a real storyline?
RA (48:19.202)
They do that. And that's when you start blurring the lines. That's when you start blurring the lines.
MarcJayofNR (48:20.278)
That's what I'm saying. And would be hard as ****. Like Cena, Triple H, The Rock, Randy Orton, all the greats coming back for the fate of the WWE looking like the Avengers.
RA (48:40.258)
that I wouldn't be surprised. wouldn't especially.
MarcJayofNR (48:40.641)
And Cena was just the first domino type **** to some **** you feel me
RA (48:46.632)
Exactly. And especially if more **** comes out, then they're like, well, ****, they know about it. Let's let's run with it. That's that's wrestling. That's what I mean about real life ****.
MarcJayofNR (48:57.109)
But that's what I'm saying though, like the real fate of the WWE verse, bring everybody back who can still get it in type ****. Might bring Stone Cold back, he can't even come back, might bring Stone Cold back. You feel me, just something crazy where we're just like, you can't miss it. You can't miss it. Like, you know I'm saying? Just.
That's my dream. That's my dreams. But keep going.
RA (49:19.096)
So.
No, no, no. And that, I mean, it could come to pass. So we're going to see. But.
MarcJayofNR (49:27.85)
I don't think it'll happen.
RA (49:30.858)
It might, just like I said, I think if more **** comes out, if they keep it under the wraps, they won't run with it. If more **** leaks out, they're gonna be like, well ****, let's make some money off of
MarcJayofNR (49:41.653)
Thank you, and that's my bigger point.
RA (49:44.826)
but anyway, so they, to give you a few details, the rock wanted Cody to turn heel. Now there was a segment where he really did ask Cody to give him his soul and Cody said, **** yourself. Cause Cody in real life didn't want it to go heel. They've had the most profit they had ever this year and Cody's the champion. I'm the baby face. Why would I turn heel right now? When that day comes that I need to.
MarcJayofNR (50:03.778)
Right.
MarcJayofNR (50:08.767)
Right.
MarcJayofNR (50:12.799)
And my prime of... And the prime of my baby face. I'm not switching. That's the dumbest **** ever.
RA (50:18.178)
Why would I do that? So John Cena, it pivoted to him turning heel. I feel like, and this is stuff I've heard and also pieced together myself. So I think the rock basically.
So he was in the beginning, he was part of, he was the middle of the angle. He's the one that.
MarcJayofNR (50:45.493)
That's me.
RA (50:46.83)
Exactly. Now I say, it's gone. Go and make your presence felt, Thunder. We got you. You want to cast. But in the middle of, he was in the middle of it, that first angle where he told, you know, the, the, the next strike or whatever and told Cena to turn heel. So from that point, you'd think, all right, the rock starting this super group and Cena is the first piece. And you know what I mean? He's going to do this authority type ****. And then all of a sudden,
MarcJayofNR (50:50.867)
my God.
RA (51:17.548)
He was it, that was it. He wasn't there anymore. He wasn't there on the lead up to WrestleMania. And then that night when Travis Scott came out, I was like, here comes the Rock. Never happened. So people are like, so what was all that? So come to find out, Rock got on, forgot who's podcast. It might even been, I think he might've talked to Pat McAfee too. He started spilling all this ****, bro. And this is, I mean, you can look at this after whatever.
MarcJayofNR (51:29.569)
you
RA (51:46.85)
He goes on there, he's like, yeah, the guy from TK off got his name. He called me and said, ticket sales for elimination chamber, hello, we need you. So that's why I came at elimination chamber and did that. But there was no long-term story planning for it. It was just me to make an appearance to boost ticket sales and all this other ****. And it's like, first off, I don't think they needed a boost. Like they were...
tickets were selling fine. So was just like, you're seeing some BS right now or something's muddy right now. And then he was like, yeah. Then I called John and Cody and I told them that my work is done. I don't need me no more. I don't want to be in the middle of it. It's like, bro, you're already in the middle of it. Like the whole thing is revolving around you going out and telling Sina, you know what mean? So like you're
Like you're in the middle now. So what do you mean? Y'all had no long-term story for it. So I think something didn't go his way in the planning process. And he was like, I'm done. I don't want to, I don't want nothing involved in it. So then that leaves Triple H to have to piece together this story as best he can, which is how you get Travis Scott back. And it's like, what does he got to do with anything?
MarcJayofNR (53:09.658)
MarcJayofNR (53:16.158)
Unless it's true and they called him again and said we need to sell tickets.
RA (53:21.696)
Yeah, and that could have been true, but it's just like I said, they didn't need it. They didn't need help selling those tickets, bro. Like it just, didn't boost it up that much. It was already selling fine. It was already selling fine at elimination chain.
MarcJayofNR (53:26.29)
I don't bloo-
MarcJayofNR (53:33.329)
It didn't. It didn't. Not saying it can be true, but it sounds like your version of your reasoning that you given the rock. I'm not believing that. That's not substantial enough. So two things can be true, but you know.
RA (53:51.992)
So all that mixed up and it's just like, what's going on? There's something boiling under the surface and see, they gonna settle it or it's gonna end up like where one of them gets Rocky the quits or Rock somehow gets Triple H out of his position and Rock will be the creative control dude.
MarcJayofNR (53:56.607)
That's drama.
MarcJayofNR (54:01.139)
That's a lot of drama.
MarcJayofNR (54:14.271)
The rock Obama that's
RA (54:18.135)
Straight up.
MarcJayofNR (54:19.967)
That would be his name, Barack Obama.
RA (54:22.551)
Straight up.
So that's crazy. That's what's happening behind the scenes.
MarcJayofNR (54:29.599)
That's a lot man. SummerSlam better be better. Like if SummerSlam isn't better, then maybe I'll be convinced that the WWE was sure changing some ****. If something goes on to...
RA (54:31.862)
And you.
MarcJayofNR (54:43.007)
you know where the storyline progresses and we see remnants of it and leading up to a summer slam or something like that then yeah sure but I guess time will tell which people hate hearing
MarcJayofNR (55:01.565)
which is what they love. That's how they get you.
RA (55:05.006)
That's what I get for wrestling today, so.
MarcJayofNR (55:08.831)
Cool.
RA (55:12.448)
I think, let me see what time it is, but say, I don't know if you want, I have a few other ones, but we can go into sinners if you want, yeah.
MarcJayofNR (55:21.66)
Senors, we should probably get to that and then anything else we can get to, maybe we can get like, yeah, and even like B-Finds is, because the mother ****, mother **** honestly was R.I.P. the Pope because we went to go see him. Shannon Sharp, Jersey retirements, Dion Sanders.
RA (55:29.31)
after our another time.
RA (55:35.746)
little opinion.
MarcJayofNR (55:50.879)
A lot of this is centers, a lot of this is centers, a lot of this is centers. And then my top five.
Yeah, and then I just have like some funny **** for B-Fines. I was trying to think of them just like, I was like, what's some funny **** we can ask them? Because like, feel like that would, because like, I love doing top fives with them, but I'm like, let's do something to kind of get, because we think he's funny, he's good at storytelling, so let's kind of get that out of him. So I was just going to ask him some **** like,
RA (55:58.99)
Cool.
MarcJayofNR (56:19.166)
Is honky racist or not? Because honky tonk, can't, white people were saying honky tonk. So it'd be us saying like a ***** shack. So I'm like, it says it's racist. Like the definition says that it's racist and it's black people that use it. But I'm like, white people use it. That's not true. The context is wrong. So I'm trying to paint this as just whatever, white people use it. So I was gonna ask you all that basically.
RA (56:47.526)
Yeah, we'll get back to that. me write this down so I won't forget it.
MarcJayofNR (56:51.471)
What?
RA (56:53.346)
What's his name? Elton John. Cause he got some bangers, bro. His white *** got some bangers. But he has an album called, I'm pretty sure the Honky Chateau.
MarcJayofNR (56:56.411)
MarcJayofNR (57:00.705)
it wasn't science code.
MarcJayofNR (57:07.311)
Okay, see? Okay, okay, so I'm glad, I'm glad. So it's only when black people use it, which is weird to me. But anyways, is it, and I was gonna ask, if we get to it, is it weird that men are making rules that are saying trans women aren't women? Shouldn't we let women decide?
You think that would even change the result though? That's what I was gonna ask. I don't know if he wants to even get into that. That's why I'm like, I don't even know if he wants to get into that. You feel me? So that's why was like, I'll leave that. But the other **** was just...
RA (57:31.138)
Now.
We'll get... yeah.
MarcJayofNR (57:41.021)
I was gonna ask, where's my **** at? I had it down there. That's my ****. I was gonna ask him, do you think them women really went to space?
RA (57:50.881)
Yes!
MarcJayofNR (57:53.329)
There's a list somebody made that said the top seven people sending black people back. I wanted to see if he agreed on it. It was just a random post. It was just a random post. And then the other one was...
RA (58:03.198)
If Charleston White's on there, I'm pretty sure he fucks with him a little bit. I don't know. I don't know. Okay. I was just gonna say he so that-
MarcJayofNR (58:08.166)
He's not on there actually. It's crazy. And I was like, then I was gonna ask him, do you wanna make a top five? Because I would love to hear his perspective on top five people because he has a different perspective. So I love that. So that's why I'm like, and then Shannon Sharp, I wonder what, so I just wanted to ask B-Finds just some random **** along with it. So I like, we can get in the centers. Everything else is just some ****.
RA (58:31.468)
Yeah, I got like three ones that, yeah, we can get to at the very end, even after he gets off.
MarcJayofNR (58:36.189)
just like little randos. That's cool. Yeah, because he said it's going like 15 minutes late, so it should give us like 45 minutes.
RA (58:44.632)
Cool. All right. Before, just real quicks to roll into it. So Ryan Coogler said to reboot X files. Did you see that?
MarcJayofNR (58:46.183)
All right. All right.
RA (58:59.276)
Yeah, that ****'s about to be hard. This is his quote on it. I've been excited about that for a long time and I'm fired up to get back to it. And he said that's immediately next on his slate. Some of those episodes, if we do our jobs right, will be really ******* scary.
RA (59:21.536)
So we about to eat good.
MarcJayofNR (59:25.213)
We're about to eat good. Shout out Ryan.
RA (59:32.174)
and
MarcJayofNR (59:33.949)
That's crazy. That's... Woo. *****, Michael B. Jordan's making a cameo in that mother******.
RA (59:41.39)
I know he has, you know he is. He gonna play, he might play the main character in every episode and ****.
MarcJayofNR (59:46.629)
Right, exactly. Depending on, he might be in that point in his career, he's like, **** it, let's do TV, *****, **** it. Right.
RA (59:52.642)
We're doing everything, *****, **** it. Give him the Twilight Zone 2 ****, **** it. Give him all that. Actually, actually give it to Jordan Peele. Let Ryan Coogler do the X-Files and give Twilight Zone to Jordan Peele.
MarcJayofNR (59:59.516)
Hmm.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And give soul food to Easter right.
RA (01:00:13.774)
Hey, that would be... No, would be...
MarcJayofNR (01:00:14.46)
I would be kind of hard though, wouldn't I? I so for a minute. I would be hard though. I ain't even gonna lie. So you **** it up. So you **** it up. All right, man. What'd think? So hold on. So me and you went to centers. We went with an eclectic group of people. People from every different kind of background. White, black, mixed. Man, woman. Yeah. You know.
RA (01:00:35.234)
literally.
MarcJayofNR (01:00:39.374)
Unfortunately, we were all hetero. Sorry, queer community, we did not represent you all. But everyone else, the Hispanic community and the Asian community. But guess what? Y'all were in the movie. all right. the Hispanic community wasn't. I'm sorry about that. I saw y'all get mad for a second, but it's all good. Y'all still got GNX. Y'all still got GNX. They get mad and they just gonna get mad as ****. They gonna get mad.
RA (01:00:51.35)
Yeah,
RA (01:00:58.712)
That... That... Never...
MarcJayofNR (01:01:07.172)
****. No, no, no, y'all still got Black Panther 2. Wakanda forever. Y'all still got Wakanda forever. So, where's my mans? Where's my mans? See? What were they called? like the Tahit, the, the...
RA (01:01:12.93)
God damn it.
RA (01:01:25.815)
I forgot honestly.
MarcJayofNR (01:01:26.716)
Me too. wish I could, I wish I had to tip my tongue. see, that's what I'm talking about. See? King of More. It's like a more with an N at the front of it. So like the opposite of love. can be like, naked love. All right. Yeah, but we went with a great group of people. We saw it in the IMAX suggested.
RA (01:01:42.872)
Hehehehehe
MarcJayofNR (01:01:53.531)
By Ryan, if anyone's seen those clips, talking about the way they shot it, the perspectives, how they would really be able to capture the whole setting. ****, that was dope. It felt like Red Dead Redemption 2 or something. You feel me? Something like that. Like, where it's immersive. It definitely felt like an immersive shot. If you have any thoughts of it, definitely do IMAX. If you're waiting for it to come home, maybe do both for real. I ain't even gonna lie to you.
because the experience of seeing it in that format is, like I said, immersive. And unless you maybe have a home studio that's really gonna do that for you with the surround sound and all that stuff, it's not even gonna come close. I'm sorry. So, yeah. But.
RA (01:02:37.174)
Yep. Definitely, definitely one of them. And I'm not even a movie goer like that. I love watching stuff in the comfort of my home, but that's, that's one, that's one of them that now go see that in theaters.
MarcJayofNR (01:02:43.961)
Made it.
Mm-hmm. That's what I do. That's what I do. So, yeah. And the streamer there messed me up so bad where I'm like, yeah, I'll just wait for everything to come out. You feel me?
RA (01:02:53.966)
Don't say that.
RA (01:03:00.494)
I swear to God, I was gonna be on one of these mother****** ****. Nike, yup. I was planning on seeing it for so long and then all of sudden it was like, it's on max ****. **** it.
MarcJayofNR (01:03:03.247)
Yeah, gladiator 2 came out quick as hell. ****. That's what I was like.
MarcJayofNR (01:03:15.611)
So any thoughts on, before we get into the storyline, the cast?
RA (01:03:24.97)
I think it was cast perfect. I love that Michael B was playing twins. He did his thing. The Irish dude that represented the devil. I don't know why it was perfect, but it was.
MarcJayofNR (01:03:37.23)
Remy, hold on, hold on, Michael B. Before we go further on Michael B, do you think that was the best performance he's had that you've seen on screen?
RA (01:03:48.18)
Absolutely, because he played two different characters.
MarcJayofNR (01:03:52.302)
They said they had a twin consultant as part of the movie.
RA (01:03:56.376)
That's dope.
MarcJayofNR (01:03:57.176)
Yep, so that gave definitely a realness and I really connected with his character, southern brother, military, grew up, know, family just, you know, straddling the line between, you know, what's good, what's bad, the space that you give a ***** out here to operate in and me taking, you know, having a mindset of, you know.
I've got to go get it, but what does that look like? It may not always look good or bad all the time. It may always look lawful or unlawful. You know what saying? But it's always in a way that is, at the end of the day, still trying to do, you know, what's best for the people around you in the grand scheme of things. just, I thought that was just a, it gave nuance to his character. And you know what saying? So.
RA (01:04:52.238)
I love that they picked the, the hoodo character, smokes wife or girlfriend.
MarcJayofNR (01:05:00.374)
hold on, on, hold on. One me, one me, Mosaka. One me, Mosaka. She played in Lovecraft Country. She's beautiful. She's freaking gorgeous.
RA (01:05:13.408)
I love that they picked her and nothing against, I ain't doing no colorism **** against light skin woman. I think all black women are beautiful, but I love that they picked her for the role.
MarcJayofNR (01:05:27.671)
Yeah, no-
And even if you, let's just look at colorism from a non-biased aspect.
MarcJayofNR (01:05:37.709)
The rootedness of her character. What would you think of a rooted, you would think ideally of something rooted would be of a wood, of a darker, you know what saying? It's small things like that. It's more of the, she's more of the aesthetic that would fit a character who is grounded in the roots of their culture type deal. You know what saying? That's the way that I look at it. So I'm like, that's the perfect person.
She's not necessarily skinny. She's not necessarily, you know what I'm saying? She's a full woman. For real. And she portrays that even in her everything. So it's just like, yeah, I'm with you. That was perfectly casted. And her character is just, she's a ****, man. But even if you want to get into beauty, I think she has a very deep, like, very deep, natural.
RA (01:06:25.911)
Yep.
MarcJayofNR (01:06:34.809)
I don't even know what the word I'm looking for is. Maybe like a transcendent beauty. And that's like the character she was playing. Kind of like a transcendent, one that can do all that. So it was just like, I think it was perfectly cast. I agree with what you're saying. What'd you think?
RA (01:06:53.998)
The white girl, that. Yup, she played that. She played the **** out her role. Like everybody came to play.
MarcJayofNR (01:06:57.976)
Haley Haley Steinfeld
MarcJayofNR (01:07:06.518)
I thought she was, I ain't even gonna lie, I didn't know who that was, because I'm like, she's, Hailee, Hailee Steinfield's white as hell, ain't she? I'm like, she's white as hell.
RA (01:07:13.314)
That's in that movie. I think in the same thing as little Sammy was he's like, what are you? That's what literally everybody was probably think. Exactly. I see it.
MarcJayofNR (01:07:24.054)
You got some ****** in you dog. You got some ****** in you dog. And you know, and that's crazy because like, you know what I thought when I...
MarcJayofNR (01:07:36.436)
What part of Louisville would she be from? The way she talked in that. I'm trying to think. Would she be from the South End, Portland, East End, Fern Creek, J-Town, Southern Indiana?
RA (01:07:53.752)
South end, are we talking like PRP and ****?
where
MarcJayofNR (01:08:01.098)
Yeah, South End, PRP and all that type ****. Dixie Highway, *****. Dixie Highway, *****.
RA (01:08:06.093)
Out!
RA (01:08:09.902)
There's a few options I feel like.
MarcJayofNR (01:08:11.82)
Highlands, Highlands, I forgot to say Highlands, but you know, they're RC for RC, I wouldn't even put them in that category, so.
RA (01:08:18.862)
I could see her as like a J-Town white girl that, you know, got somebody. I can see that. That's one. I can see her being from PRP or some ****. Dixie area or some ****. Where else? Southern, like high school, Valley high school. I don't know. I'm getting it.
MarcJayofNR (01:08:43.723)
Hmm. Hmm.
RA (01:08:45.451)
You
MarcJayofNR (01:08:48.319)
Hey, that whole area, that whole area, everything's south of J-Town all the way down. Everything, the whole thing. J-Town, Fern Creek, and the Preston.
RA (01:08:55.84)
No, for real. I can see that.
RA (01:09:01.656)
Yup. Yup. Yup. All in.
MarcJayofNR (01:09:05.175)
Fairdale, Iroquois South End, wrap back around. You can throw Portland in that mother******.
RA (01:09:09.326)
I wanna live, yep.
No, for real.
MarcJayofNR (01:09:16.075)
That's great. That's great. So yeah, I was thinking, I'm like, what's, what was she? And I'm like, that's going to be our question for this week, though. If she was from what part of the city would Hailey Stonfield's character in Senority be?
RA (01:09:19.689)
You
RA (01:09:30.317)
That's funny.
MarcJayofNR (01:09:31.063)
Yeah, that's a good one. That's a good one. So yeah, she played the hell out of that role. What'd she say? What'd she say? Who the **** you talking to or something? I'm like, she might hang around some ******.
RA (01:09:33.07)
That's good.
RA (01:09:43.598)
you got to, but you know, know something I find funny is, and it still happens today. When you start getting in certain parts of the Southern country, mother******* talk the same. You can even go back, you can even go back to Django Unchained. Like when they got to the,
MarcJayofNR (01:09:45.825)
Yeah.
MarcJayofNR (01:10:03.223)
We're all the same.
RA (01:10:12.494)
white man's big house, whatever. And Django was talking to the white man. And then the slave master was trying to tell old girl how to treat Django. He was talking like a *****. But that's because they all live together. You know what I mean?
MarcJayofNR (01:10:14.284)
Yeah.
MarcJayofNR (01:10:23.521)
Mm-hmm.
MarcJayofNR (01:10:29.525)
Yeah, we have different instances. We'll get into the specific one maybe that the movie illustrates, but we have different ones where it's like, man, who teamed up? Somebody teamed up with the Seminoles, man. The French, because the French was getting their land taken back. So the French got in with the Seminoles, so then it started becoming a race of the French and the Seminoles. So white people, we've created those pockets.
through history of us coming together because even because of the tyranny of white supremacy. So it's like, you know, they don't tell us a lot of that, but like, yeah, that's why you got certain French ways around certain places. And then that's why it wraps all the way around to Louisiana. You get the Cajun.
Who's with the Cajun? It's the other ones that everybody, Creole, yeah, the Cajun and the Creole. This movie explores Irish and really the Irish is, I would call them the black, you know, their black counterparts would be the Jamaicans. So yeah, we've always had that, And generally it's repressed at the hands of
RA (01:11:22.542)
for you.
MarcJayofNR (01:11:47.445)
You know, supremacy. We come together because, you know, the French was coming because they had no choice, because ****, they taking their land and ****. feel me? They gotta team up with the ****** who's fighting against them, That's what the whole French and Indian war and ****'s about, right? That's why I'm like, there's remnants of all that **** all the time. yeah, anyways, yeah. Haley Steinfeld, character fire. What'd you think about your boy's character? OG, Delroy Lindo.
RA (01:12:18.872)
That's a slam.
MarcJayofNR (01:12:19.987)
Delta's slim, boy. What you think about my man?
RA (01:12:23.886)
He did a great job. read a quote by him saying that he was ******* with the idea. He had a few tweaks though that, you know, basically, I'm sure in that age we'll all have stuff is like, either do it like this or I ain't doing it. So he said like, he had some **** that, you know, he said to Ryan Coogs, nothing disrespectful or nothing, but it was just on some like, I'm messing with what you got going on.
MarcJayofNR (01:12:50.377)
Yeah, this is my boundary.
RA (01:12:53.73)
This is how I want to do it. You know, if you do it this way, I'm your guy. If not, cool. And obviously it worked out. Ryan Coogler knew who we had on his hands. So it's like, I'm sure like, yeah, those are great ideas.
MarcJayofNR (01:12:55.316)
Yup.
MarcJayofNR (01:13:01.311)
Perfect.
MarcJayofNR (01:13:04.928)
Alright, alright, Delroy. Don't let a ***** be like in class with us or something like that.
RA (01:13:14.274)
But then it seems like in real life a ***** named Delroy nickname would be Delta.
MarcJayofNR (01:13:16.371)
or the David City.
MarcJayofNR (01:13:23.785)
Delta Slim though, that would be his rap name. Or would it not be? You'd be like, Delta Slim, that's hard. What's his real name? Delroy Lindo. You'd be like, hmm.
RA (01:13:25.614)
It's perfect. It's perfect.
RA (01:13:31.522)
Damn right, exactly.
MarcJayofNR (01:13:34.517)
You'd be like, Clifford Harris. You'd be like, hmm.
RA (01:13:39.264)
Like ***** what? How the ****'d you get- Even though that's his middle name that he ended up using so
MarcJayofNR (01:13:41.734)
Aubrey Graham.
MarcJayofNR (01:13:49.093)
Yeah, it is. I'm sorry, I misplaced. So we know Delroy from everything from, mean, he has great, look at his range from Crooklyn and Romeo Must Die to The Good Fight, which is a show I loved, and Five Bloods. His performance in Five Bloods was absolutely incredible. felt like his character in Five Blood, I could feel parts of his soul that was echoed through that time period of...
RA (01:14:06.958)
I'm pretty sure I saw that.
MarcJayofNR (01:14:17.107)
you know, the black man's repressed hurt and **** like that. I can feel it literally time travel back 30 years into the 1930s and to this character. So he's just great at that. And he's British. Remember me and you've talked about this before about how maybe we should have actual black Americans represent actual black American roles. But this *****, nah, I need him and all my black American ****. He's probably better at being a black American now than being British. I don't even know.
You know me
RA (01:14:47.554)
I would have never, I did not know that and I would have never known.
MarcJayofNR (01:14:50.921)
Thank you. He feels like Unc, bruh. He feels like Unc of the American culture. You can put him up there, it's lightweight with the Angela Bass, it's in the, you know, everybody feels like our aunts and our mamas and **** now, you feel me? Like I said, his range is crazy. About 30, over 30 years of just going hard on major ****. Crazy. So, and he's worked with Spike Lee multiple times, you know what I'm saying? This **** like everyone.
RA (01:15:14.294)
I agree.
MarcJayofNR (01:15:21.14)
What you think about Perline, the mayor from Batman? But you didn't know it was her,
RA (01:15:21.622)
He definitely did his thing.
RA (01:15:31.788)
Goddamn, I didn't even know. I didn't even put that together.
MarcJayofNR (01:15:35.572)
She sexy as ****. They said her P**** was so good, she got a club named after her at the end.
RA (01:15:41.418)
Goddamn.
MarcJayofNR (01:15:45.276)
I it said didn't even slide up in it, that ***** only tasted it. That's crazy!
RA (01:15:47.854)
Never even was in that mother******. He remembered that the rest of his life literally
MarcJayofNR (01:15:51.401)
Thank you.
MarcJayofNR (01:15:54.836)
That's crazy. So, that was good.
RA (01:15:57.558)
And then my, then speaking of him, Sammy, loved his character. Like ends up being, he's the main character for real.
MarcJayofNR (01:16:10.792)
I loved it because I feel like he didn't have to act, man. You wanna listen to this? Off-screen and in real life, the R &B artist is the son of gospel singer Timmy Figuero.
and had been singing since he'd been a child. Music is in his DNA and he's been performing since he was two years old. Katton's musical talent earned him praise from other gospel greats, such as Faith Evans and Bishop T.D. Jakes. The Rising Star has also toured as an acting as a supporting act for Oscar and Grammy nominated artist Her before he graduated from high school. In an interview with Variety, Kugler revealed that
MarcJayofNR (01:17:00.209)
and why he knew that he would fit perfectly. He said, you could just tell the kid was special, like as a person. He was good enough as a singer that he didn't have to finish high school, but he did anyways. I thought there was something to that. I was like, no, I've got to this kid in. And I'm like, some of those same things that seem to evoke from him in real life seem to transcend in that character where it was just perfect. And that goes back to, that's why we had to talk about the cast before we even get into anything else, because the casting,
when you got the right people.
RA (01:17:32.172)
You had it, it was set off. It was set off right then.
MarcJayofNR (01:17:38.643)
And then we're not even getting to Omar Miller playing the bouncer.
RA (01:17:43.52)
Exactly.
Exactly.
MarcJayofNR (01:17:48.231)
So hard.
RA (01:17:50.19)
Give me what you owe me.
RA (01:17:57.218)
***** couldn't cross that line. He's like, I'm gonna get as close as I can though.
MarcJayofNR (01:18:02.865)
Yeah, so we'll get into some history before. So different forms of history. Asians in the Delta didn't know this. The Southern government with the likes of black codes made it possible for the Chinese to own shops in black communities. Something we see still persists today. Now, it's not from the same origin because the South Korean wig industry played a significant role in the American wig industry, particularly after the Korean.
South Korea became a major exporter of these wigs and our government also, you know, removed some taxes and duties for them, made it easier for them to get their product here, which gave them abilities to set up these storefronts. And we still see this persist today in specifically Southern black communities. So I didn't even realize that Asian Chinese people didn't go out west. It's like, y'all can open shops, but only in the black communities.
Mm-hmm. No, because you're not owning our shops. You know what mean? So I thought that was interesting.
RA (01:19:01.474)
not touching our territory.
MarcJayofNR (01:19:14.556)
What else? All right. And then before we even get into the movie, I'm gonna run this down. Just some different things to think about.
Early 1650s, the English brought Irish slaves with them to the West Indies and America, thanks to King Charles I.
So the Irish slaves, this this gonna go back to our conspiracy corner **** bro. This is why I like this ****'s crazy. So in 1656, 2,000 Irish kids were ordered from Ireland to Jamaica to be sold as slaves. So you know when me and you get into the Pied Piper ****, creating a new world, the lost generation, why are they called that? The great migration, was the Vanderbilt's building all these railroads, taking people out west?
What was he really doing for the queen when he was going, you know what saying? All that ****. It's all back to this ****. You feel me? So 10,000 ******* Irish people ended up going, bro, to Jamaica and being slaves, bro, for the English. then, so then the African males would be, they would want them to mate with the Irish women to create a more laborious breed, bro.
RA (01:20:27.65)
Wow, I didn't know that.
MarcJayofNR (01:20:31.014)
So this may give you a different perspective on, you know, like the movie. And it's crazy. like someone, Richard Robert Madden, he was a famous Irish doctor with successful business. He left London and went to oversee the abolition movement in Jamaica. He eventually got intimidated and resigned.
He finds out, because this is in the 1800s, he finds out, early 1800s, he finds out he's like, hold on, he looks into his ancestors like, I got Jamaican in me. Well, yeah, you got Jamaican in you, bro, because they bred your people a couple centuries before. So he's like, **** no, I'm about to go fight for these. I'm about to go fight with my ******, you feel me? And even still to today, if you go to Jamaica and you see Madden Funeral Home, that's a branch of his family still today that's basically like Porter Funeral Home of Louis or like G.C. Williams.
Like, I'm like, that ****, it's the oldest one.
RA (01:21:25.805)
Wow.
MarcJayofNR (01:21:26.545)
That's why I'm like, that's just crazy, bro. So then you fast forward to 1916. Marcus Garvey slides over there and you got the Irish uprising of 1916. And it has such a profound, me and you have talked about it. One of his buildings was named after one of the Irish churches back home. It had such a profound impact that you know his slogan, Africa for Africans at home and abroad. The Irish Revolution's motto was the Irish race at home and abroad.
That's what I'm saying, that's how closely linked we are.
MarcJayofNR (01:22:02.384)
So that's why I'm like, so keep going, go ahead.
RA (01:22:03.137)
And.
No, was gonna say you wouldn't know that today. At least, like, based on people.
MarcJayofNR (01:22:08.246)
No. So then you're like, there's no way it's black people, Irish, and we're all together. OK. Do you know someone in your family with the last name or someone around you with the last name McElroy?
RA (01:22:21.42)
Mate, I'm like, that's what they say.
MarcJayofNR (01:22:24.752)
I got some family members who are McElroy's bro. I don't know if they related to your boy, to Corey. Corey, I don't know if they related to them, but I got some McElroy's too. even us, so any black person, any.
RA (01:22:29.614)
I went to high school. Mm-hmm.
MarcJayofNR (01:22:42.99)
I would, anyone black or white within that lineage could have the possibility of white being Jamaican, black having Irish in them. Modern day type ****. So think of Clarke Murphy, Collins, Burke, Walsh, Lynch, any prefix with Mick and any prefix with O, O'Reilly, O'Hare, O, all that stuff. Any black people with that, you're probably in that,
what we're talking about in that group. think about it, Bob Marley's mom was white, Bob Marley's dad was black. They were both Jamaican. Okay, that's why I'm like, so it was just **** like that. Claude McKay, famous Renaissance artist, Harlem Renaissance artist.
They've always been around. The Jamaican police force, their uniform has a red seam going down the side of the pants, the same exact red seam that the Irish police force had.
RA (01:23:43.054)
So they're mirror images of each other and just like opposite sides of the same coin.
MarcJayofNR (01:23:46.041)
or something.
Okay, perfect. Exactly what you're saying. Some Irish, some Jamaicans say Ireland's just Jamaica in the cold
Some of them say, some Irish say Jamaicans sound like they're from Cork, a very small city down at the bottom of Ireland. So they both say to each other, we are alike in the different ways. And the one thing that they really do have in common is they cuss crazily. The way they cuss, you think of a Jamaican, a bumble, you do bumble. And then the way the Irish come off with their cuss words, can't even, I'm not even going to attempt it. So that's why it's just like.
RA (01:24:28.22)
Hehehehehe
MarcJayofNR (01:24:29.392)
We share so many things, so bring that idea into mind. Spoilers are coming after all this, but keep all that information in mind if you're going to see this movie. Asian, the Irish.
MarcJayofNR (01:24:47.854)
And then the last one I wanted to get into before, and then Skinwalker Ranch might help people out to understand this film. So Skinwalker Ranch is located in, I've told people wrong, it's Northeastern Utah, 500 acre property, known for numerous reports of paranormal activity, UFO sighting, strange lights, mysterious creatures, cattle mutilations, voices. You might've seen, it's gotten large now, so a lot of people have seen it.
but this is where you get the crop circle markings. This is where you get, so like signs, okay, that movie signs. There's all kinds of stuff that's happened there, So, but getting back to it, the Navajo culture believes that skinwalkers are in that area. They believe it's a haunted land and often depict them as shape-shifting witches.
who can manipulate and harm through dark magic. So that may bring into a better realization of what that scene was about when they ran up on those people. They're believed to have the ability to transform into animals that are often malevolent beings.
MarcJayofNR (01:26:05.038)
So.
MarcJayofNR (01:26:09.123)
that might help with the entities in which you might try to understand you're dealing with. And then the last one, Devil at the Crossroads, the documentary on Netflix. It's a short, mysterious life of Robert Johnson, who's a blues singer who influenced a lot of people later, but it comes from the myth of how he sold his soul to the devil in Mississippi for musical success.
MarcJayofNR (01:26:46.498)
There's some historical facts that might lead you to a greater understanding of what this film is really trying to evoke.
And this is real life, based on reality.
RA (01:26:58.318)
I saw stuff about that documentary and just some of his story.
MarcJayofNR (01:27:07.65)
Yeah.
RA (01:27:08.066)
seems to take some inspiration from it.
MarcJayofNR (01:27:12.83)
Definitely. let's get into it then. And then last thing I guess would be...
MarcJayofNR (01:27:32.814)
Alright, so how do you want to go into it with the movie? You just want to through like the actual movie like or what are your thoughts on it I would say.
RA (01:27:44.224)
have more so notes. I I don't have that many and you can, I'll say my notes and you can kind of, if you want to go through scenes after that or just whatever the thoughts I have. So.
MarcJayofNR (01:27:46.786)
Okay.
MarcJayofNR (01:27:58.958)
That's cool.
RA (01:28:02.75)
this isn't, it's a little spoilery, like, you know what mean? But it's not necessarily like you will still want to see it anyways. So.
MarcJayofNR (01:28:12.814)
We're already in spoiled territory, over. So, get on go.
RA (01:28:14.848)
No, we already in it mother******. The Haley Stamfield's character, Let the Devil In.
And it was lust and greed that allowed the devil to get in because first off, Stac wanted her to go get that money from them, even though they had already said, no, you ain't getting in here. Y'all ain't getting in here. Y'all weird. He sent her out there anyway. She ends up turning into the, you know, getting bit. She comes back, of course she's invited in. So.
Greed, already. And then Stack lusting after her. He already knew from the beginning of the movie, he's like, no, I don't wanna **** with you, get out of here. And she just keep, know, you can steal this and that, you can't steal this p**** and all that. So lust, from that point, he gets, you know, he gets taken over by lust. So we got greed and lust already. basically the devil wouldn't have got in without.
if those weren't playing a part of it. Some more notes. I got smoke and stack.
MarcJayofNR (01:29:29.813)
Hold on, before you go any further, I feel like what I've been thinking since I watched it is like.
MarcJayofNR (01:29:42.807)
Black women not wanting to be in cohesion with white women when it comes to like women's rights because they're like, no, they make it about themselves. They hijack this ****. They this and that, blah, blah, blah. And it's like ****** start dating white girls and ****. And it's like, know those, there's, we're modern day, so it's less of a threat, but there's always a threat because you're a young black male and it only heightens it probably being with someone in a situation that could become combustible.
and in a way that you cannot control the situation. But outside of that, I already know what they're like within the Women's Rights atmosphere. And I'm afraid that the same thing that I've seen in that is what really will be the downfall. And I feel like that's a combination of both in Hailey Steinfeld's character where her greed, where...
MarcJayofNR (01:30:34.08)
Maybe she sins by being a cooperator in the whole, instead of picking this out in the first place. God says that, God says don't be lukewarm. It's good to be one way or another. If you think wrong, it's cool. God will straighten you back out, but don't be in the middle. Don't play both sides. Don't be like Peter in the garden. That ***** Peter was wildin' like a...
**** it. Nigger told him, you're gonna deny me three times. And he said, that's not me, Peter.
RA (01:31:01.006)
Ninjas why I was like, he's like not me. And ***** got out there and was like, I don't know that *****. No. Have you seen it?
MarcJayofNR (01:31:11.382)
You was at, hold on, you was with him, remember? With me, bro. You had the same robe on. You had the urges on, remember? I don't even wear urges. I don't even wear urges, bro.
RA (01:31:19.182)
That was your man!
I don't even know what that means.
MarcJayofNR (01:31:26.22)
That's crazy, that's crazy work. So it's in that effect where it's like, allyship, the real allyship, what does that really look like? And she fell to the carrot that they dangle that we've seen all through time. go to, and we've talked about the political fluidness of black people in the early 1900s and why we went from Democrats or Republicans to Democrats.
And we had a strong allyship in the Carolinas and in certain parts of the South when it came to political power in which we were a mass. And then you go to the 1900s all the way to the 1930s and there's not a black person in Congress.
MarcJayofNR (01:32:06.251)
So, this **** like that. This **** like that. Where it's like, what did they dangle in front of your face for you to be like, nah.
And then the burn up everything. Cause y'all burnt up everything for about, you know, the red summers and **** like y'all burnt everything up, *****. So what'd y'all, what'd they dangle? *****. Cause, cause as a movie, what's that **** called? What's the KKK movie? The Birth of Our Nation is not that good. That's a shitty movie. Rotten Tomatoes probably would have given that a 9 % or some ****. It's just ***. It's just absolute ***, bro.
RA (01:32:37.646)
Just trash. No, for real.
MarcJayofNR (01:32:43.947)
But anyways, keep going. What did you say about stacking slim? Stacking spoke, my bad.
RA (01:32:49.198)
Alright.
Smoke and stack are mirror, I said mirror. Smoke and stack are mirror images of each other, like yin and yang. Like, you know what I mean? It's like represents almost balance in the movie. Like, like one's like this, one's the others like that. Even though they, the same, do they different at the same time? Like, I don't know. I just, you know, one didn't fall to any of the **** and it-
MarcJayofNR (01:32:52.553)
smokestack.
MarcJayofNR (01:33:05.161)
bling and bling. *****.
RA (01:33:21.464)
So then it stems from back to the lust, who Stack had been lusting out there after his life, and then who Smoke had in his corner for his life. You know what mean? Just, so it was never, he never had that temptation like Stack did. So just, don't know, they just really mirrored each other. they're twins in the movie. I mean, that was perfect for that.
MarcJayofNR (01:33:51.479)
Yeah, so but now basically the whole point is if you're an interracial relationship She better have some soul ***** because that spirit ain't She only got a spirit. It's over now I don't know. It's just funny for me being in a relationship. I'm like, means you get you a down *** white girl
RA (01:33:51.886)
I don't know if you got anything on that.
RA (01:34:05.038)
gonna do it.
RA (01:34:13.314)
But for real.
MarcJayofNR (01:34:14.453)
get you somebody who's down, *****. Who's gonna turn on her family, *****? Nah, it's-
RA (01:34:19.003)
Wildin'.
I
MarcJayofNR (01:34:25.397)
They like, ****, that's crazy, that's crazy, that's wild. Not for real. That's all love,
RA (01:34:33.422)
This was said in the music, I said in the music, this was said in the movie that music is bridging the gap of the dead and the undead, the past and the present. And that's just real. And it's like making timeless music. Like it's another level to it, bro. Like it's deeper than just, oh, this ****'s lit or, you know what I mean? It's like, no, you can literally listen to this in a hundred years and it's still going to hit on some.
Bye.
MarcJayofNR (01:35:02.954)
Just on the basis of anything, if you were just creating anything and whatever it does, it still creates the same energy output to its environment as it did at any time in history, it makes it timeless. So if Michael Jackson was played when it first came out and we still dance the same way they dance, if we still do the Thriller dance a thousand years later, then what is that? It's not about the music. It's something deeper. feel me? And that's why people love music.
That's why we love music so much. You know what I'm saying? That's the bond. It's just a bond. It's a bonding mechanism. We see it with the people. Why is Lady Gaga such a fan of Beyonce and Miley Cyrus beefing with Nicki? Why does it mean so many things in so many ways type ****? So...
So yeah, so that would be, you know.
RA (01:36:01.326)
Be fast and he's ready by the
MarcJayofNR (01:36:03.506)
I'll send them the link.
RA (01:36:06.51)
I don't know if he know he got it.
MarcJayofNR (01:36:13.797)
well she got.
RA (01:36:17.144)
Sam not listening to his dad about church and God, like he didn't heed the warnings basically. Like, and just, that just made me think about like how many times that like you had opportunities to get out of something you knew in your soul, I shouldn't be doing this. I shouldn't do this. And you do it anyway and it happens exactly how you thought it was going to happen. You're just like, I ****** up.
and I knew I was about to **** up and I still ****** up.
MarcJayofNR (01:36:46.697)
What is it called? What is it called? Foresight? The ability to have foresight or whatever? It's like sometimes when you're in those situations of spiritual foresight like manifests itself and it's like, you going to ignore it or not type ****.
RA (01:36:52.29)
Mm-hmm.
RA (01:37:00.662)
So I thought that was interesting because that could have been all avoided if he never went out that day and listed with his pops.
MarcJayofNR (01:37:12.531)
Mark. We can't, can we hear him? We can't hear him.
RA (01:37:14.914)
What up?
MarcJayofNR (01:37:25.097)
He's about to find a whole new set of buttons.
Might get me a little... ...Blow your dicks.
MarcJayofNR (01:37:44.743)
I went and worked out hard yesterday.
Yes sir, that's a hell of a workout my guy.
RA (01:37:53.11)
Man, delivering for Amazon, God damn it. That's, yeah. That'd be kicking my *** some days. I ain't gonna lie to you. But I be like, I need this **** though.
MarcJayofNR (01:37:58.665)
you
MarcJayofNR (01:38:08.617)
Tell me a *****, Eddie, don't look sus as ****.
RA (01:38:14.475)
It's kinda blurry.
MarcJayofNR (01:38:17.862)
You can see enough *****. Look at that *****.
RA (01:38:20.558)
You talking about in the middle right there? that one over there. See, yeah, like it's like pixelated. I can see, I can see the rows, but.
MarcJayofNR (01:38:25.4)
with the rose in his ear and the
MarcJayofNR (01:38:32.591)
is it? Okay.
RA (01:38:44.035)
God. my God.
MarcJayofNR (01:38:46.44)
Let's see what B-Files think of it when he pop back up.
RA (01:38:51.682)
What album is that?
MarcJayofNR (01:38:59.048)
comedy album. This is the one we was talking about.
Bro, the first one's called faggots.
RA (01:39:08.974)
first, what is it a like a music album?
MarcJayofNR (01:39:12.4)
It's a comedy album. It's a comedy album. You know back in the day when they used to, that Richard Pryor and everybody's **** used to come on, come on the record players and **** like that.
RA (01:39:24.046)
That's insane, that's what he, that's the picture he chose?
MarcJayofNR (01:39:27.304)
If this is his joke, if this is his like trolling, he didn't do a good job, bro.
RA (01:39:32.624)
It comes across actually like that's you.
RA (01:39:39.704)
I don't know, I still don't know if we can hear you B-Fans.
MarcJayofNR (01:39:43.312)
Yeah, say something.
RA (01:39:47.95)
I don't know what's going on.
MarcJayofNR (01:39:53.766)
He thinks it's his headset.
RA (01:40:04.3)
before you got on here and it had you select, guess what you were gonna be using. I don't know if that.
MarcJayofNR (01:40:15.461)
It doesn't give him, that's what I about say. Does it give him a, let's see.
Nah, I don't hear it. I'm trying to think.
RA (01:40:25.774)
Say it again, say it again, say something again.
Okay, nevermind, I thought I heard you. was like, maybe turn it up, but.
RA (01:40:37.774)
Try to rejoin the link. Like get out of it and try to hit the link again.
RA (01:40:51.426)
Not sure. But yeah, he come across a little too well.
MarcJayofNR (01:40:58.321)
Bye.
RA (01:40:59.798)
You and your natural element.
MarcJayofNR (01:41:02.161)
Hmm hmm.
RA (01:41:09.762)
Still not, I don't know what's going on.
MarcJayofNR (01:41:14.321)
So the sound button...
MarcJayofNR (01:41:27.377)
Hold on, I'm gonna stop recording.
